PTE Academic is a complete computer-based English language examination designed for students planning to study abroad.
To undergo the test, a student uses a computer and a headset to listen, read and respond to questions. The test assesses real-life academic English, so students can expect excerpts in different accents from lectures and may need to interpret information from graphs and charts.
During the test session, there are three parts: Speaking & Writing together, Reading and Listening. The test includes twenty question formats, ranging from multiple choice to essay writing and interpreting information.
PTE Academic is conducted fully on computer and measures integrated English language skills.
The PTE Academic test session is approximately three hours long and is completed using a computer and headset.
